recent layouts

I haven't scrapped many pages lately, so I thought I would post a few that I did earlier in the month. I enjoyed doing them just for me.

the surprise is sprung!

Wanted to wish my friend, Karen McGary, the happiest of days. She turns...uhm, better not say ;) A group of us tried to surprise her with a quote mini album. I designed the album, and we each created a page with a quote and a hidden message to Karen. Happy birthday, dear friend! Photos keep posting out of order...sorry about that. I won't post the inside pages, as they are not my artwork. Maybe the girls will post them online.

The weekend was a whirl. Friday was a great summer day. The girls and I rode to Tupelo to buy some supplies for Vacation Bible School. We had lunch with my sister, Debbie, and her kids, and then we took a dip in her clubhouse pool. Relaxing and wonderful. Saturday started early with VBS. I taught Michaela's Kindergarten class, along with my other sister, Cindy. We had fun, lots of pizza, yum, and then it was home to get ready for the gymnastics recital. Girls were cranky at this point, but we pressed on. They looked darling in their outfits, and although the gym was hot, they did a great job on their routines. I was very proud. Yesterday was church, and my nephew's birthday party. Family parties are always fun. Lots of kiddos running in all directions.
So today I get started on a few scrappy things, and laundry :D Lots and lots of laundry.

Summer Fun

And so I enter

the land of blogging. Trial run...since I'm not so sure about it :)

My banner photo was taken on Sunday, along with a few of the girls helping me plant some flowers for the front porch and deck. They love doing anything associated with dirt. Well, I take that back - pulling weeds is not a favorite activity, lol. Maybe I'll figure out how to post photos in a bit. Today feels like a Monday for some reason.
